President: Diana Wharton, RN, MSN
Diana Wharton is a servant leader with a passion for serving the underserved communities. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a BS in Nursing and from Walden University with a MS in Nursing. She is employed as a Lead Specialist in the Accreditation, Regulation, and Licensing Department at Kaiser Permanente. She devoted over 25 years of her career to home health from clinical nurse to Assistant Executive Director.
She currently serves as President of the Black Nurses Association of Greater Washington, DC Area. She has served her chapter in various capacities over the past 15 years. She is an active member of her church as well as other nursing and civic organizations such as Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also serves on Calvert County’s Coalition for Health Equity and is a full commissioner on the Calvert County Commission for Women.
One of Diana’s favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. She believes that to whom much is given, much is required. Diana is grateful to be able to provide services to those in need.
